In our current political age nothing is too trivial to politicize,
even Halloween. Here is an email I received from GOP.com
last week in orange text:
What do Halloween and politics have in common? Scary Democrats!
Every year the Republican National Committee has a hard time
determining who is the scariest Democrat of the bunch. Just like
the fall harvest, there's an abundance from which to choose. That's
where you come in. We need your help in determining who the RNC
should announce as the "Scariest Democrat" in 2007.
Here is the Web site the email linked to. Do I agree politically with
Hillary Clinton? No. Do I want her to be the next president? No.
Do I find her scary? No.
And guess who are the top picks for Halloween costumes? Hillary
Clinton and Rudy Giuliani. Here is a snippet from the AP article:
Asked about costume choices, 37 percent in an Associated Press-Ipsos
survey this month chose New York Sen. Clinton, the front-runner among
Democratic presidential contenders. Fourteen percent selected former
New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who leads Republicans in national polls.
I ain't afraid of no Dems!
Or ghosts:
