I have a few thoughts about last nights wins.
If Iowa showed that money can't buy you votes, New Hampshire
proved the mass media doesn't have a say in who wins either. I say
this because much of the media focus before Tuesday was how much
momentum Barack Obama had garnered from a win in Iowa. They
were describing huge crowds and all the excitement his campaign was
drawing. Look at how Chris Matthews was talking about Obama the
night of his Iowa win:
For the past several months the mass media has ignored John McCain
because they felt he done. However, last night he pulled a win. I was
glad that Iowa proved money isn't everything and now I'm glad that media
hype isn't effective either.
