What I'm Reading

I'm reading George Weigel's "Against the Grain." An interesting passage
from the book (pg. 227):

Who would imagined, fifty years ago, that a commitment to the
democratic transformation of the world would find its primary
American home in (at least some) conservative circles? Who
would have imagined, fifty years ago, that much of American
liberalism, rather than making the moral and political case for
deposing a genocidal brute, would find itself in de fact alliance
with the status quo forces in world politics
