Good news: Iran, US not headed for war (AP) - I am listening to
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad speak to the
National Press Club as I write this. He just said that women in Iran are
the freest. He is in huge denial of what is going on in his country.
Military is 'baiting' insurgents in Iraq (MSNBC) - "A Pentagon group
has encouraged some snipers in Iraq to target suspected insurgents
by scattering pieces of "bait," such as detonation cords, plastic explosives
and ammunition, and then killing Iraqis who pick up the items, according
to military court documents."
And the courtship continues (MSNBC) - Does it say something that a
courtship has to happen at all?
Lack of sleep may be deadly (Reuters) - Yeah! I now have my excuse to
sleep 9 hours a day.
Bush predicts Hillary will win Democratic nomination (CNN) - I agree with
his prediction and so do the poll numbers. However, I don't think his general
election prediction is going to happen because of tends like this.

Maybe we should take a page from Iran's president and celebrate July 4th in burkas. Nothing screams freedom like covering head to toe in black in the hot summer.
