War-Weary Public

Yesterday I decoded what an Associated Press article really meant. Today let's take
a look how the AP wants to evade responsibility. Here's an article about the decrease
in violence in Iraq:

Those positive signs are attracting little attention in the United
States
, where the war-weary public is focused on the American presidential
contest and skeptical of talk of success after so many years of unfounded
optimism by the war's supporters.

So, it's the American public who doesn't want to hear about decrease in violence in Iraq?
Right. It has nothing to do with the fact that the news coverage of Iraq has drastically
decreased
.
